thank you super attendant thank you Adam positive board president pushing for more as a superintendent to superintendent s welcome back rank it has been 2 years of many emotions of time away from each other way from your co-workers your student your friends at work and to be back in the swing of things we are coming near the end of the year and what I think considering the circumstances has been a very successful year and that is prove to the Community Partnerships that we have here in West New York town hall working closely with the Board of Education working closely with the police department and so on and so forth but I suspect meaning when I sent all our profession an Educator's staff members for all that they've done but specifically for the work that they've done in the last two years it has not been easy to be a teacher to be a VA to get administrator of principle of BP a board trustee member aboard president a superintendent if that's not an easy job but in the last two years has been much harder but we have risen to the occasion and so these awards today the words today in a little bit more than usual because of what we've been and so as mayor this community of this town that you and I both love so much I sincerely say at the resident here as a person who has their daughter in the system I want to say thank you I want to say thank you for coming to work for logging into Zoom for checking everything for all of the things that you had to do outside just above your work that you didn't have to do before the pandemic but you did it again I knew you needed to do it to make sure your student got what they needed and that was vegetation and maybe a person to talk to throughout the day when maybe they didn't have too many people to talk to you okay was a very dark time very lonely time and can you can imagine what it was like for a student for the work that you did throughout this time is astronomically more important and more valuable than has ever been because these kids needed you Moe's in the last 2 years I'm going to say it again I want to thank you all for the great work that you do for helping each other and from most of all helping our students who are not give yourselves around he said I wasn't like him to graduate our new board members okay who had a very successful election bringing people to represent the board that the right thing for our kids and our teachers okay it is not an easy job they don't get paid for this country to a lot of people think board members don't get paid for the work did they do but they do it because they love your kids they love our kids and talk to the board members thank you for all that you do once again thank you for president Parkinson superintendent Clara you guys deserve these Awards and I am very happy that I've been able to come here and we have proclamations on behalf of the municipality for you guys I wish I can graduate congratulate each and every one of you individually but I can't do that today by when I see you sure enough I will do that thank you all keep doing a great job for our kids thank you for pretending this is a night of Celebration because this was a difficult year for its as a teacher myself I saw it in the classroom it was the hardest year as a teacher it was the hardest years of it was the hardest year as a student as an administrator as any person working in a school system this was an incredibly challenging year but June is almost here number one and we got through it we got through it because every single year we always figure out a way to get through things and we're always able to conquer and we're always able to find that power within our the professionals that we are whether we're students representing our school district at a different matches or a different shows we always make sure to represent this school district with tremendous Pride when I graduated from the school district I couldn't be more proud of the people that we have their affiliated with this different because the people that are in this particular school district there are so many times where we are under as an urban community as a predominantly Hispanic constantly constantly underestimated and overcome the odds every single song karyotype every single statistics for the Westheimer the people that sitting near the people that are here make sure that we're going to be our absolute best so I want to make sure that tonight and this is a particularly special group of Educators teacher of the year and educator of the Year years are always very close to me but this one's particularly close to me for a reason why I am very fortunate that Ariel Parkinson is the Weehawken High School teacher of the year so I have a particularly close heart for this particular group of Educators that were honoring tonight but truly congratulations to everyone you sitting here just makes our school district a better place and as a school board president I couldn't be more appreciative to all of you I want to thank our Union president I need to come over by Pirates tonight is a big part of why this is a success I want to thank all of our administrators and supervisors who came out tonight as well of course I couldn't be more appreciative than our superintendent be in a pillar in is the first Latina to print Tennessee amount of things that she's been able to do she's been a true partner in education and I couldn't be more appreciative of you and most of the reason why all of this it's something that we can always go and foam and be calm and knowing that the school district is run so well is because of your leadership do you think the moment and take a moment to do it thanks as to who was that one teacher or person in the school that made a difference for you and none of that person tonight as we celebrate in the United States I'm going to say that is my privilege and honor to prevent tonight 921 2022 Governor's educator of the Year Educational Services professional of the year and the engine to eat a Educational Services Girl of the Year features and educational professionals are people who helped Inspire they mold the minds and educate future Generations they can make a differ in our students future outcomes I see that happening every single day and we were just with mr. so fat they adopted to Safeway for students to come back into the classroom they learned to connect through various means of Technology with our community and parents are students and continue their educational progress for the week for the students and their academic success Center Educators and service professional are everyday hero thank you for all you do every single day Wisconsin extend beyond the school hour of a teacher or neither of you and give energy to the character Dorothy thank you congratulations
