Welcome to the West New York Middle School
Principal’s Message
The West New York Middle School begins another year with high
expectations for our students, staff, and parents. Our state-of
–the-art facility will provide new experiences for all of our 7th
and 8th grade students. I know that our new seventh grade
students will establish a successful transition from their separate
elementary schools and that both seventh and eighth grade students
will become one family at the Middle School.
Our teachers create a positive and challenging learning environment
in which teamwork stresses academic success through professional
dialogue, instructional objectives, integration of skills,
motivation and organization. Our teachers have a common planning and
conference time in their daily schedules which affords opportunities
for teachers to communicate with each other and to communicate with
parents. This is all designed to meet the needs of our diverse
population.
School spirit is high as students, staff, and parents will
participate in school-wide events that include assemblies, concerts,
meetings, and other events throughout the year. Students have the
opportunity to learn important skills such as citizenship and
leadership through the Student Council, Peer Program, G & T,
Tutoring Program, as well as the Junior National Honor Society and
other various clubs such as Cooking, Band, Choir, and Yearbook.
Additionally, athletic programs, fitness programs and wellness
committee encourage physical well-being. We are very proud of the
accomplishments of all of our students at the Middle School and we
hope that everyone will continue to be totally involved and to
achieve success.
As principal of the West New York Middle School, I am here to serve
you. My door is always open to every student, parent, or staff.
Please feel free to visit or contact my office at 201-553-4160
