Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year! Educating our children has
always been our number one priority and will continue to be. In addition
to providing our children with the best possible education and assisting
them in becoming life-long learners, it is also our goal to create
well-rounded, responsible individuals.
Our student body is comprised of Pre-Kindergarten through grade 6 students. Each grade level is equally important in establishing every student’s academic foundation for learning. The primary grades are responsible for establishing the solid base on which all future learning will build upon.
Public School Number 3 has been able to offer students after school programs in mathematics, language arts and science. In addition to academic programs, Public School Number 3 is also proud to present students with the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities such as; intramural sports like volleyball and basketball, instrumental music and chorus and peer leadership.
We are fortunate to have an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) that shares the same vision as that of our educators. In conjunction with teachers and with care and special consideration, the PTO has been able to sponsor such events as, assemblies, book fairs and other fundraisers, honor roll awards as well as social events and activities for our students.
Public School Number 3 has a rich history of participating in worthwhile community activities as well as to charitable organizations. During the holiday season, local food pantries and Toys For Tots are just two of the charitable groups that the P.S. Number 3 School Leadership Committee along with the PEER students, are happy to contribute to. Participation in activities such as these permits our students to learn life lessons and helps in creating that well-rounded and responsible person.
Everyone at Public School Number 3 is dedicated to providing our children with the best possible learning experience. We look forward to establishing new parent relationships as well as maintaining and expanding upon those that have already been established. With parents and teachers working together, we anticipate another outstanding and successful year here at Public School Number 3.
