The Public School
Two community is honored to be learning and working in this
beautiful building’s final year of service. For over a hundred
years, children have filled the classrooms of the “house on the
hill”. Teachers have been educating students here for many
generations and grandparents have watched their grandchildren walk
the same halls they walked years before. PS 2, formerly PS 4, has
provided West New York with a century of fun, learning and countless
memories.
Currently, the
majority of our students are bussed across town from our traditional
district. We are in the second year of our temporary site while we
await the opening of the new PS 2. This is a very exciting year as
we get ready to transition from tried and proven to cutting edge and
uncharted.
Public School Two
students are highly motivated and enjoy learning. Our children come
to us from diverse backgrounds with varieties of experiences. Their
interests are many and their know-how is vast. We strive to help all
of our students maximize their potential for success.
The PS 2 teaching
staff is top notch. Every teacher is Highly Qualified, dedicated and
caring. They encourage and nurture the most from every child. The
School Two teachers give their all to provide the students with an
exceptional education.
We believe the
best education is one which involves the whole community in raising
our children. We count on students, parents, teachers, community
members, business leaders and people from all walks of life to help
educate our future. You are all welcome at PS 2. Please stay
involved, visit the school and communicate with your child’s
teachers and administrators.
