Dear Students,
Summer vacations provide time for rest and relaxation. I hope you
are rejuvenated and ready for the start of a new year at Memorial
High School.
School opens on Thursday, September 8, 2011. All students must
report directly to Homeroom on the first day of school at 7:45 a.m.
sharp.Do not report to the Guidance office. In
this welcoming packet, you will find:

Seniors must report to guidance on Monday, August 29th or
tuesday, august 30th between 8am-12pm or 1pm-3pm to pick
up their schedules and speak to their counselors about possible
concerns.

Juniors must report to guidance on Wednesday, August 31st
or thursday, september 1st between 8am-12pm or 1pm-3pm to
pick up their schedules and speak to their counselors about possible
concerns.
·
sophomores must report to guidance on friday, september 1st
to pick up their schedules between 8am-12pm or 1pm-3pm(freshmen and
sophomore schedules will not be changed)
·
Juniors and Seniors who did not see their counselor on the assigned
days will receive an updated schedule during Homeroom.
·
Schedule correction forms will be available during homeroom.
******* Juniors have different homerooms this year. They must report
on the assigned day to find out their new homeroom.
Remember to wear your student ID card and School Uniform the very
first day of school
(All 9th graders will receive their ID Cards in
Homeroom & Lost ID cards for upperclassmen must be reissued and
purchased for a $5 fee). If you have not purchased the correct
uniform yet, you must do so soon. You may purchase the uniform
wherever they are sold; however, we suggest that you purchase the
correct uniform from our main suppliers:

Please be advised of the revised School Uniform requirements:
v
Shirts/tops (short and long sleeve styles) will be SOLID BLACK in
color and must have the official Memorial High School insignia.
v
Pants/bottoms (shorts, skirts, slacks or chinos, etc.) must be Khaki
Only and conform to current policy on length and
proper fit.Jeans (denim) and sweat pants are not to be considered
part of the uniform at any time.
Our student/parent handbook has been updated and is on the homepage
of the schools website found at
www.wnyschools.net.
Please review the pages 38 - 40 of the student handbook for complete
details on the revised uniform requirement.
