Preparing for the World of Work

The Creating Pathways students have been very busy learning and becoming familiar with the world of work and service to the community.  This fall, the students of the Creating Pathways class have created a dining experience called “Skybox Dining” during the home Memorial High School football games in their classroom at the Middle School.  The students of this class, along with their teacher and paraprofessionals prepared and served  a variety of food to those who attended the “Skybox Dining” experience.

All of the students wore black vests and pants with white shirts and conducted themselves professionally.  They provided an environment similar to that of a skybox at one of the local stadiums.  At the end of the evening, the students thanked everyone for coming and cleaned the entire area where they were working.  It was a wonderful experience for these students as well as those adults who participated in this event.
