With the STAR-W Computer Grant, we received great hardware that we use in our classroom. We have wireless laptop computers that can travel with us wherever we need to use the internet. We use them in our classroom a lot. We have a SMART Board which is kind of like an overhead projector, but instead of transparencies, it projects a computer screen that our teacher uses to show us how to do things on the laptops. We also have new scanners, printers, and digital cameras to make our learning come alive! We have tons of new software that shows us different ways to organize information to make our writing better. We use our wireless internet connection to bring the world into our third grade classroom. |
