PROCEDURE FOR ALL PERSONNEL REPORTING ABSENCE

Reporting of Funeral Days:  Please be reminded when reporting your absence because of a death in the family, you must specify your relationship to the deceased.  Please refer to page 18, article II, paragraphs A.2.a and A.2.b of the WNYEA contract for specific details.

Employees may report an absence either by email or phone.  Please read instructions below.

By Email:  Send email to absent@wnyschools.net

              Add the building you are assigned to in the Subject line. 

              In the body of the email the following information is required:

Name Date(s) of Absence
Building Reason for absence
Grade/Subject/Position  

 

By Phone:   Call Answering Service at 201-553-4127 and follow the prompts:

 PRESS #1 If you work at Memorial High School

 PRESS #2 If you work at the Middle School 

PRESS #3 If you work at any other location in the district

After your corresponding prompt; leave the required information:

Name Date(s) of Absence
Building Reason for absence

 

All Employees who work at Memorial High School must report their absence by 7:00amAll other employees must report their absence by 7:30am.  Employees reporting an absence after the designated times, must call 201-553-4016.

 PLEASE NOTE: CUSTODIANS, MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORTATION, AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS STAFF MUST ALSO CALL THEIR IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR
